Human Design: A Map Back to Yourself
Human Design is a revolutionary system of self-understanding known as the “Science of Differentiation.” Birthed in 1987 through a mystical transmission experienced by Ra Uru Hu, this body of knowledge was revealed over eight intense days and nights. What emerged was a synthesis of ancient wisdom and modern science—a framework that decodes the unique energetic blueprint each of us is born with.
Ra’s legacy is now carried forward by his student Lynda Bunnell, whose book The Definitive Book of Human Designoffers a foundational explanation:
“The Human Design System shows each of us that we have a unique design and a specific purpose to fulfill while on Earth… A Human Design Chart or BodyGraph is a precise map and user guide that gives you access to how we are genetically designed to engage with the world, and how our unique inner guidance system operates.”
Your Human Design chart—also known as the BodyGraph—is unlike any other system you've encountered. It weaves together the I’Ching, Astrology, the Chakra System, and the Qabalah, forming a complex yet elegant portrait of your energy system. At its core are nine energetic centers (similar to chakras) that govern everything from communication and intuition to willpower and identity. These centers illuminate how energy flows through you—and where it does not—offering insight into your inherent gifts, sensitivities, and conditioning patterns.
The BodyGraph is divided into 64 Gates, derived from the I’Ching’s hexagrams, which correlate with astrological planetary positions at the moment of your birth. These activations form your Personality—the traits your conscious mind recognizes as “you.” But there is another layer: a Design chart, based on planetary positions approximately 88 days before birth, which reveals your unconscious traits—your inherited genetic themes and deeper tendencies you may not yet fully understand. As Bunnell describes it:
“The Design information… represents your genetic inheritance, or your bloodline, as a theme from your mother and father and grandparents… You cannot consciously access the information in red. It’s like looking into a tunnel—you can’t see the objects or which way they are moving.”
One of the most striking teachings of Human Design is that most of us have been taught to trust what is not us, while ignoring what is. Ra Uru Hu said it best:
“What you can rely on you’ve never relied on in your life. What you can’t trust you’ve been trying to trust all your life. What you’ve been trusting has never been you. What you’ve been ignoring has always been you. Try to trust what’s really you and see what happens.”

Of all the scientific and metaphysical practices I’ve studied, The Tarot has had the most profound impact on my personal journey of transformation. Interestingly, it’s not something I formally trained in like the others. Instead, it’s what I would call my love language with the Universe—my ritual, my connection to Spirit, my True North.
When I feel confused about which path to take, the Tarot is where I turn for guidance. When I feel hurt or alone, it offers me solace. And when I’m in full-blown manifestation mode, it helps me discover my next aligned step.
The subconscious mind is a deep, ancient well of wisdom—and Tarot is a direct line to its truth. It reflects not just where you are, but where you’re headed. And if you don’t like what you see? You’re not stuck. Shift the narrative, and new pathways appear.
What most people don’t realize is that the subconscious doesn’t speak in logic or language—it communicates through pictures and feelings. I work with over 80 Tarot and Oracle decks, each with its own personality and energetic frequency.
